First Post!

Well, after many years of promises, it is finally a reality.  Red Deer has a website AND a blog!  It is my intention to use this space to let people know of real time nature activities and events experienced at my premises (note:  I don't get out a lot, too much to do keeping the clientele happy).  Mundane as it is, I also will give weather updates.  Due to the anomalies of this geographic location, I hope to allay the fears inspired by more official weather forecasters.  The number of times I have said to callers from Algonquin Park or Barry's Bay "but it's not raining here!" leads me to believe this is a necessary public service.
